For the Ranger Legacy community

Rebuilding movement.
Restoring capability.
Creating momentum.

The Movement Project is a structured 10-session online programme designed for people living with long-term movement compromise — from traumatic or acquired brain injury to chronic or age-related mobility decline.

For the Ranger Legacy community, the programme provides a practical progression pathway, peer support and measurable movement milestones for Rangers, veterans and family members whose movement, confidence or day-to-day capability has been reduced.

Who it can support

A movement pathway for Rangers, veterans and families.

The Movement Project is structured around current movement capability rather than diagnosis alone. That makes the same developmental framework relevant across a range of long-term movement challenges.

TBI, stroke & acquired brain injury

For people rebuilding foundational movement after neurological injury or surgery, including those whose formal rehabilitation has ended or plateaued.

Chronic or age-related movement decline

For people who remain mobile but have lost movement quality, confidence, balance, range or physical independence over time.

Low mood, confidence & loss of momentum

For people whose physical limitations coexist with reduced confidence or motivation, using achievable movement milestones, routine and peer support to help rebuild momentum.

The Movement Project approach

Start with the skills that movement depends on.

Human movement develops in sequence. Walking is not an isolated skill: it depends on earlier capacities including spinal control, rolling, crawling, kneeling, squatting, balance and transitions.

Rather than repeatedly practising a task that may currently sit beyond a participant's movement capacity, the programme identifies where the developmental chain has broken down and works progressively from there.

1
Individual starting pointParticipants begin at the level their current movement can support safely and productively.
2
Progressive milestonesEach session develops the capacities required for the next level of movement rather than chasing task completion alone.
3
Practice between sessionsA dedicated progress-tracking app supports homework, continuity and accountability between live sessions.
4
Cohort supportParticipants work alongside others facing their own long-term challenges, creating shared momentum and practical peer support.
10-session Movement Project programme

A simple structure, delivered consistently.

The programme is delivered virtually, allowing participants to work in their own environment while receiving live coaching, progression and individual feedback within a small cohort.

10
weekly live sessions
60 min
per group session
8
participants in the proposed cohort
1 app

Hear from people who have experienced the Movement Project.

Every participant starts from a different place. These stories will let you hear directly from people working at different stages of movement rehabilitation and find an experience that feels relevant to your own.
